Corresponding authors affiliated with VU/VUMC, RUG/UMCG, UU/UMC Utrecht, UM/MUMC+, UL/LUMC, WUR, EUR/ErasmusMC, RU/RadboudUMC, TU/e, TUD, UT, OU, TiU and UvA/AMC will receive a 100% discount on the Article Processing Charges that need to be paid to publish open access in this journal.
For the publisher, the corresponding author is the author who submits the article to the journal and corresponds with the publisher during the publication process. Only this author can receive the discount.

Publication types that are part of the deal: Original research articles, Review articles, Brief Communication, Continuing Education. The consortium article quota for 2023 with Springer are reached on the 9th of November. From that moment on corresponding authors have to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) to make their article open access.
